Many experts now believe that subclinical vitamin K deficiency—a deficiency not so severe that it impairs blood clotting—may contribute to osteoporosis and other age-related diseases. Vitamin K is the generic term for a group of fat-soluble compounds that contain vitamins K1 and K2.
